Busy with postcards and no sleep!
The last week or so has been a completely hectic time!
The postcard for the press package for "The Northern Quarter", a Dutch play directed by my friend Erwin Maas was finally sent to the printers this Monday afternoon!
To say it was an ordeal by fire is an under-statement!
I think I managed to get two hours sleep over the course of two whole days!
The problem was that I've never professionally used "Adobe Illustrator", never designed a theatrical promotional postcard before and then add this to the stubborn mind-set of a forty year old who still possess the naivete that he could accomplish the whole task in a few key strokes with "Adobe Photoshop" image manipulations and was off to the races with the whole project in a winning hand!
Not so!
But after much hard work and at times numerous frustrating moments the task was complete to the satisfaction of all parties concerned!
But I have to say the whole learning curve, although a very steep one and over a short space of time, was, in hindsight an enjoyable and valuable experience for the future of my goals for this business.
Next I have the pleasure of producing poster prints for the plays production which I anticipate to be a far simpler exercise than the execution of the postcard!
We shall see?!
