Things I didn't do on my Birthday!

I'm writing this post now (4:45pm) as I'm still sober!

It's been a good day!

I chilled to to some bloody good jazz music by "The Steve Reid Ensemble", specifically the "Spirit Walk" CD, and then later a 1956 recording of the then Chicago based "Son Ra", with the CD titled "Super-Sonic Jazz."

Inspiring to say the least!

Although it didn't motivate me to go and see the Michael Hanake picture "Cache", although I'm assured by my wife that we'll get to see it sometime this week, nor did I do any work whatsoever on the website and last but not least I didn't take my G3 Mac Powerbook down to the doctors!

I'm going to blame the fact that the wife bought me a bottle of "Powers" Irish whisky!

So with birthday's come gifts and I'm very happy to add the following films to my DVD collection - "2046", directed by Wong Kar Wai, "Broken Flowers", starring Bill Murray and directed by Jim Jarmusch and also a picture by the French director Arnaud Desplechin titled "Kings & Queen", which stars none other than the gorgeous and multi-talented Catherine Deneuve.

Very happy with these additions and I will of course be posting my reviews of each film in the near future.

I actually did take the Canon 20D out today with the 70-200mm F2.8 lens hoping to capture some shots for a Valentine's Day card promotion that I'm planning for later this month.
Didn't get anything romantic! Got a half-way decent shot of a tramp and and biz' chap!

Will be downloading the card at the end of the week so I'll see if anything is worth posting to this blog?

Have another theatre shoot this coming Saturday which I'm looking forward to and well, I'm thinking off introducing another photo gallery just for that part of my work.

Need to think about that!

Right, off to my local Irish bar "Coogans" to meet the wife and to polish of my birthday!
