Update!

I'm still working on the new website and 'am currently looking into a new domain name plus a US based web hosting service.

I've been having a few problems with the exisiting service, which is UK based, and I've pretty much made my mind up that
switching to a local service is in my best interests. Especially that the new site is a going to be a total transformation compared to this site!

On the photography side I'm hopefully going to get a large amount of original negatives from England in the next coming
weeks! I'm just hoping that my Mum can find them all without having to ascend into the dreaded attic of our house in London!

My fingers are crossed, because if I can get my pinkies' on these photographs my worldwide catalogue will be greatly increased and I'd like to think that this material could be a good seller from the website in the coming years.

Still with photography!

I'm about to read a biography on "Robert Capa" by Richard Whelan. Published in 1985, the author claims to have a close and intimate relationship with the "Capa" family and also with his many friends and colleagues, including Eve Arnold, Erich Hartmann, Geza Korvin to name just a few!

"Capa" as a man, as a photo-journalist, as a combat photographer, as a gambler and a womanizer has always intrigued me since I was a small boy and I've only ever read bits & pieces of his life and never the whole picture. So I'm going to read this book and then post my opinions and comments to the site with an an objective viewpoint but I'm going to search for a slant
to try and see another side to the man and the myth!

Apart from that my hamster is healthy! Mrs "Hilarious" Clinton will be the next President of the United States. Expect a small scale nuclear attack either on these shores or the Middle East region within the next 12 months. Most babies will be micro chipped before entering the womb and I just realized that I forgot to switch on "Miss Moneypenny's" automated cat shitter machine!

Something is starting to stink....

Site still under construction!

Goodness ,gracious me!

What a lark!

I'm expecting the "Photoshop Spanish Inquisition" at any moment!

Thank God I have help - thanks Dave!

But it's still all damn good fun!

Tonight I decided to take some photogrpahs out of both the color and B&W galleries through the 'Iview' pro program which I did, but after going through that whole process and uploading the galery files using "Dreamweaver" and viewing the live website I saw that all of the files I had deleted from both the galleries still showed up, but as corrupt images!

My apologies.

So now I have to catologue ALL of the images I would like to offer from day one!

My deadlne is a week from today!

There will be plenty of new photographs to view and I'm designing new subject galleries to make the whole navigation process of looking at a wide variety of images even simpler!

I wanted to end with a quote from "Monty Python" and the 'Spanish Inquistion' but I can't remember the punchlines!

Help! Dave! Help! You just saw "Spamalot!"

Nobody expects the...

The new face of photos-newyork.com is on the way!

With the help of Dave Beckerman this website will have a new look in the next coming weeks!

The whole site is going to have a complete face-lift!

Additions to the site will include a "paypal" on-line shopping cart, a new blog and homepage, and a few other fancy functions
that will enchance a shoppers visit!

Also I have been editing new images to be uploaded to the site from Halloween of 2005!

Apart from that people still don't wear enough hats!

"People Don't Wear Enough Hats!"

I think we got a cab before this dude?

It helped that my wife is blond, has the smile of an angel and takes off clothing even in a blizzard to stop a cab!

Tough luck dude!

Take-Away's in a "Blizzard!"

You have to take your hat off to these guys!

Shot at 3200 ISO on the Canon 20D.

New York Blizzard 2006!

Quite a story behind this shot

Taken while I was on my way to work, but after taking the shot I took a fall and broke my eye glasses!

As a consequence I was unable to take anymore photographs until later in the day but I was more than happy to get at least this one picture!

"Valentine Snow Man!"

Well did I get the Valentine's shot or not?!

I think I did and I'll be printing this photograph as a postcard tomorrow!

Pure luck! I was standing outside "Brady's" Irish bar on the upper East Side after having a few beers with the wife and saw this gallant gentleman carry his maiden across a treacherous street!

Let me know what you think "Bubbles!"

"Rangers" NHL Hockey at Madison Square Garden!

This was my first NHL hockey game in NYC and I loved every period of it!

The "Rangers" won 4-2 with a series of 'power-play' goals in the 2nd period by team captain Jaromir Jagr. (See Picture!) The "Blue Shirts" held on for a well earn't win and my thanks go to my friend Erwin for a great night out!
